ZOL and MARS Road Ambulance Service

Important Notice

On behalf of the Medical Air Rescue Service (MARS), ZOL Zimbabwe would like to introduce a convenient way to secure Road Ambulance Services (the “Services”) should you require them. The Services are open to all ZOL Zimbabwe customers and only cover road ambulance services in the event of a life-threatening emergency anywhere within Zimbabwe (excluding COVID-19 evacuations).

The Road Ambulance Service Fee will be embedded in your monthly internet subscription or data purchase.

For those interested in accessing the Services, the following is required:

  1. A monthly road ambulance service fee of ZWL171 or US $2.
  2. Consent to Services – you will be required to sign a physical Consent Form or accept the Terms and Conditions for the Service via myZOL application.

Terms and Conditions of the Road Ambulance Service are as follows:

  1. Customers who wish to sign up must consent to the Services by accepting the Terms and Conditions via myZOL or sign a physical Consent Form in our ZOL Zimbabwe Shops.
  2. Customers will be required to complete a MARS Registration Form which will contain the MARS Terms and Conditions.
  3. Customers who have signed up and paid will be eligible for the Road Ambulance Services.
  4. The Road Ambulance Service is also available to the immediate family members of ZOL Zimbabwe’s subscribers at an additional monthly fee of ZWL171 or US $2 per individual.
  5. ZOL Zimbabwe’s sole responsibility is to receive payments for the Road Ambulance Service on behalf of MARS.
  6. All support services for the Road Ambulance Service will be will be offered solely by MARS, which is reachable on its ECONET Toll-Free phone numbers, being 182 or +263 24 2771221.
  7. The evacuations may be called upon 24 hours a day but limited to a standard radius of 60km from the nearest MARS base countrywide.
  8. The Road Ambulance Service will only be available when there is a life or limb-threatening emergency. In the event of an evacuation, the patient shall be conveyed to the nearest appropriate medical facility, as determined by MARS.
  9. The Road Ambulance Service will not be available if one is having a minor illness and is able to self-drive to a medical facility or for existing or suspected COVID-19 illnesse.
